I'm glad you found my blog! I'm having a great time using Lee in Lawful Obedience--a story that I'm posting here and to a Star Trek list. [Spock-McCoy Haven]
I've used Lee's own words as often as I can and I've tried not to white wash things like certain racist assumptions he held--and, judging by the feedback I've received on the list, it's working out pretty well!
I'd be honored if you read the story--but I don't know your feelings on Star Trek or Spock-McCoy slash, so I'll leave the matter in your hands ;)
P.S. I've brought up Light Horse Harry in the story--although Robert E. Lee revered his father, I'm afraid Light Horse Harry wasn't much of a father figure...

One of my fave portraits of Lee.. I believe he wasn;t long out of West Point when this was painted.
Much family resemblence of father and son, if you look @ the CW Peale portrait of Light Horse Harry Lee
I shall have to start becoming a reader of your stories
